About

VR was born and raised 90 miles north of Sacramento in a town nestled between California’s Sierra Foothills and the State’s great Central Valley. A graduate of UC Berkeley and recovering sociologist, she is an avid if not intrepid traveller, a lover of animals, music, museums, glass, pottery, cooking, eating, graveyards, and books—not necessarily in that order.

Winner of the Al Blanchard Award, the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Colorado Gold for Mystery, and a finalist for both the Claymore and Daphne Du Maurier Awards, you can find VR’s short fiction in Mysterical-E, Spinetingler, Vine Leaves Literary Journal, and in the anthologies, Best New England Crime Stories: BLOOD MOON and ROGUE WAVE, and The Best of Vine Leaves Literary Journal 2012.

Her debut novel, A TWIST OF HATE, was published in 2015 by Gale-Cengage Learning/Five Star.
