G IS FOR GREEN WITCH

GREEN WITCH: A solitary witch who practices natural witchcraft (folk magic, for example). This means working with the earth and natural objects, herbs in particular, but also stones, animals, and the elements.

EXCERPT . . .

“When you said you were ‘green,’ I take it you weren’t talking Greenpeace?” Nate said.

“Green witch.  I’m eclectic Wiccan, but I follow a green path—earth-centered. Plants and herbs, nature, folk magic.”

“Hear that, Nate? Your new tenant is an airy-fairy tree hugger.” Liam turned to Mercy. “Doesn’t that make you one of those fluff-whatevers?”

Another head shake. Mercy pushed aside her plate, and rested her elbows on the table. “Nature is a balance of light and dark energies. Sunshine, spring rain, the beauty of wildflowers, on the surface they seem light. But what about sunburn, floods, and allergies? Wicca is about balance and connecting to the All—male/female, dark/light, yin/yang. Working with the darker aspects of nature, of the God and Goddess, can bring about positive change. Evil isn’t inherent in dark or light energy, Liam. It’s inherent in human intent.

Let’s hear about your challenge!
Time to share your “G”
